Communications

Beyond my design capabilities, I am a proven communications professional with numerous years of experience working in government communications. Distilling high-level information down to the most digestible parts for both internal and external customers. Copywriting for social media, website content, video scripts, and news releases; during steady-state operations and during emergency situations.

  • Social Media - I have experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Nextdoor, and YouTube. I have successfully managed an organization's social media presence across 15 different accounts.
  • Website Administration - I have managed and maintained multiple organizations websites to ensure accuracy and consistency. I have led website redesign projects for two organizations.
  • Emergency Response - I have training in the Incident Command System and real-world experience as a Public Information Officer (PIO) during emergency situations such as wildfires and pandemics.

I received a certificate of appreciation for dedication, service, and commitment for communications efforts during the #416fire in 2018.
